Kyle Yawn, the 2008 Valedictorian at Warner Robins High School.  Kyle will be studying engineering this fall at Georgia Tech.	Kevin Meaux just completed his first year studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Florida.

The Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) is non-profit professional engineer association headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia with chapters (called Posts) worldwide. Its mission is to bring together professional engineers and those in engineering-related fields; to improve and increase the engineering capabilities of the nation; to exchange and advance the knowledge of engineering technologies, applications, and practices.
Each year, the Robins Air Force Base Post of SAME provides college scholarships of $1,000 each to deserving students who are potential future engineers.  This year, the scholarships are $2,500 each.
 
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

1. High School Senior or 1st or 2nd year College Student  
2. Planning to pursue an Engineering degree or already enrolled in an Engineering degree program

SELECTION:

1. A board of SAME officers will make the selection.
2. Selection will be based on academic achievement, character, personal merit and commitment.  Merit is demonstrated through leadership in school, civic and extracurricular activities, academic achievement, and motivation to serve and succeed.
3. Selection will be made with no regard to race, color, creed, sex, or national origin.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD:
Two Scholarships awarded for $2.500 each
